This is an unprecedented Asian University Blockchain Hackathon organized by DigiFinex and supported by CoinDesk. The objective is to educate and nurture ambitious young talents and prepare them for the exciting opportunities brought about by the crypto world.
Crypto Never Sleeps ’19 brings the world’s top undergraduates together to analyse the potential of Asia’s cryptocurrency markets. The Asia Cryptoasset Research Hackathon aims to give students an exhilarating and fast-paced learning experience.
The event is organized by DigiFinex, a crypto exchange headquartered in Singapore, as part of their education and social outreach efforts. To attract top talent and to give back to the community, DigiFinex is putting up a whole Bitcoin to be won (approx. US$10,000).
Hosted by CoinDesk at Marina Bay Sands on 11 and 12 Sep (Wed and Thu) as part of the Invest: Asia 2019 conference, the event gives students the opportunity to attend investment workshops held by industry experts, and access to the dynamic expo floor.
The competition has drawn interest from international exchange students spending the semester in Singapore as well. For example, apart from local undergraduates from NUS and NTU, students from Scotland, Denmark, Canada, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands and India have also registered.
“It’s encouraging to see that this technology with far-reaching implications in economics and finance has captured the imagination of the world’s next generation of innovators and thought leaders.”
“We’re also pleased to announce Ikiguide as an official media partner, because of their grassroots approach and support for local blockchain and cryptocurrency activities.”–Dennis Hui, general manager of DigiFinex.
IKIGUIDE is happy to and humbled to be the official media partner of Crypto Never Sleeps ’19, the second blockchain hackathon of the year that we are covering. Given the resounding success of National Blockchain Challenge 2019 , we are confident that all university students will benefit greatly from Crypto Never Sleeps ’19!
